Level Theory

Experts in content creation, social media management and consultancy.

At Level Theory I was able to practise a range of skills that I have learnt at university.

I conducted an interview and helped film footage for a video they were organising and producing. I used my journalistic skills to interview the manager of a new eco-friendly refill shop – I knew what questions to ask her whilst making her feel calm and comfortable on camera. I was able to listen to what she had to say and think of questions straight away to get the best answers from her, as well as asking her prepared questions.

I worked on the BBC One documentary series ‘Our Cops in the North’. I watched episodes before they were released and picked out scenes that would fit well on social media that were a certain length. We were provided with images of the cast, which I turned into quote cards. To do this, I had to find specific quotes from the episodes that I thought people would be talking about on social media and have an impact on people. I then edited them for different social media platforms. After watching episodes and transcribing scenes, I edited a video on Adobe Premier by adding the subtitles to it and formatting them separately to be ready for Twitter and Instagram. This was good practise as I normally use Final Cut Pro, so therefore it was a good chance to adapt my skills into another software and practise on that instead.

I spent time working on their website, putting together blogs and scheduling them ready for release.

I practised my photography skills and the images were used in a blog I wrote that was published on their website. I also took videos and edited these ready to be used on their social media.

Other work included attending business meetings and giving my input with ideas, and scheduling tweets and posts on Buffer.

"Hannah came to work with Level Theory on a two week internship and during that time proved herself to be a huge asset to our team. Hannah was confident and adaptable, rising to meet any challenge we put her way. Our business covers a lot of core creative skills from video production and editing to graphic design, copywriting and social media management. Hannah proved herself capable of picking up new skills incredibly quickly and only needed to be shown once before she mastered it. Hannah attended two video shoots with clients and several business meetings with potential clients and her interactions with them were exemplary.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Hannah as a positive addition to any team. She is a joy to work with and exudes a real 'get stuck in' spirit which is vital for any growing business. It is my hope that we can indeed find a role for Hannah at Level Theory in the near future.”
